Alec Waddell, Principal

Alec has spent his entire career in the construction industry, overseeing the construction of myriad large-scale projects such as hospitals, office buildings, high-rise residential complexes and manufacturing and research facilities. Alec graduated from Va Tech in 1970 with a degree in Building Construction, in the college of Architecture. He obtained a law degree from the University of Maryland in 1980, and immediately returned to his first love - the construction industry. After a few years, he shifted his focus to the resolution of disputes between combatants in the industry. For fourteen years, Alec managed the disputes of Bechtel Corporation in its offices in Maryland and London, before taking an early retirement to form Acorn Property Development, LLC with Steve.
